Full-Funded Doctoral Programme in Theological Studies

Dear Prospective Doctoral Students,

The School of Kingdom Theology under the auspices of the Timothy Imuwahen Centre for Kingdomology (www.testament.sch.ng/tick) is looking for highly motivated, inspired and sound candidates who are willing to pursue fully-funded PhD studies (2-5 years) on the Development of New Christian Doctrine(s) titled “Basilology” and other branches of Systematic Theology.

Position Description

The research project aims to address critical issues surrounding Systematic Theology and to extensively observe and examine other new doctrines/theologies like Basilology, Israelology, etc within the ambience of Systematic Theology that is gaining popularity amongst other established doctrines in the Christian faith. This project with be carried out at the Timothy Imuwahen Centre for Kingdomology Lab, where PhD students/candidates will have access to mentor-directed studies and be fully funded to extensively curate their works and submit their findings to high-impact journals. On the other hand, they will engage in presenting their findings, essays and portfolios at various conferences, seminars and other learned events conducted by TICK, Testament Theological Seminary and other institutions of higher learning.

Desirable Qualifications

Applicants should have a research-based or academic MA/MTh/MATS/MRE/MBS/MDIV/MPHIL in Theological Studies/Biblical Studies and a closely related field. The successful candidate should have demonstrated scientific, hermeneutic, and historical writing and research abilities and experience with analysing, verifying and documenting biblical findings using adequate research methods.

Expected Contributions for Graduation

  1. Publish at least ten (10) peer-reviewed manuscripts summarizing activities and findings performed in the described research areas
  2. Develop at least ten (10) Simplified Handbook in your courses of interest for the School of Kingdom Theology at Testament Theological Seminary
  3. You can carry out options 1 and 2 above together and submit at least ten (10) of your work
  4. Apart from options 1-3, you have the privilege of teaching at the School of Kingdom Theology for Testament Theological Seminary
